Drafting
Drafts in your format, edits you can follow.
Sage drafts from your templates and your past work, with your branding, signature blocks and required fields, and exports to Word. Every change arrives as a tracked change beside the source it came from.
Your template, your clauses, your signature block
Sage drafts from the firm's own precedent and fills it from the matter it belongs to.
What it drafts
A petition
In the firm's template, with the facts taken from the matter it belongs to.
A notice
Termination, demand or reminder, with the period calculated from the rule that sets it.
A contract
From your own precedent rather than a generic form, with your standard clauses in place.
A redline
The other side's version against yours, with each departure marked and explained.
A client letter
The update, in the firm's voice, ready for the lawyer whose name goes on it.
An internal note
The reasoning behind a position, with the sources attached, for the file.
Step by step
A notice of termination, where the notice period depends on length of service.
- 01
The draft starts from your template
Your format, your signature blocks, your required fields. Not a blank page, and not somebody else's form.
- 02
Sage fills it from the matter
The parties, the dates and the facts come from the documents already in the file.
- 03
Each change shows its source
Where the notice period moves from four weeks to six, the article that sets it sits beside the edit.
- 04
A lawyer reviews and signs off
Ready in form is not ready to send. The substance is a lawyer's call, every time.
- 05
It exports to Word
With the tracked changes intact, so the next round happens where your clients already work.
The questions people ask
How it works, what it touches, and where it stops. If yours is not here, ask us directly.
Are the drafts ready to sign?
Ready in form: your firm's template, branding, signature blocks and required fields, exported to Word with every edit kept as a tracked change. The substance still needs a lawyer's review before anyone signs or sends it.
Does it use our own precedent?
Yes. Sage drafts from your templates and your past work rather than from a generic form, so the output reads like the firm.
Can we see what it changed and why?
Every change is a tracked change, and the source it came from sits beside it. Nothing is rewritten silently.
Does it compare two documents?
Document comparison is in beta: it compares two documents and shows what changed. Treat it as a first pass rather than the final word.
What about scans and handwriting?
Typed files are read directly. Scans need an extra processing step, and handwriting is not something we claim today. Accuracy on your own material is tested during implementation.
